When I used a certain delivery service to send my package to the Collabro show in NYC I had no idea my two day delivery would stretch out to about seven weeks and never arrive for the show.
Upside BROWN
My paintings never made it to their destination in New York, they got sent back to California, then because an improperly entered code would be stuck in a loop that would send the package back and forth between California and Hawaii a total of six times, including a couple more trips back to New York. Luckily the paintings were packed well and survived the ordeal; pictures of these paintings and possibly a few more stories like this will appear in a book coming out in 2008 documenting the Collabro shows. As I find out more
I’LL post it.
I’ll be showing in Super 7 gallery for the month of September it’ll be kind of a continuation of the Cryptozoology show that Skinner and I had down in San Diego@ Voice Gallery earlier this year. If you’re in S.F. check it out. This show will run from the 17th of September until about the 12th of October
September Second Saturday in Sacramento means that I’ll be touring around in the Izzy Van Go. For those of you not familiar with this local phenomenom it’s basically an art show done in Izzy Schwartz’s van that travels around to various locations during second Saturday, it’s always great times had by all. (Not the actual Izzy Van Go)
Ken Magri e-mailed me this painting done by Skinner of my son Jackson battling monsters it was such a priceless image I had to share.
Here’s a news paper box that I did a couple of years ago for Sacramento News and Review it’s been moving around town ever since. It’s current location is about a block from my studio I just happened to notice it on my way to getting some food at Mother India. There were a bunch more of these done by other artists: Skinner, Jairus, Aaron Winters, Garin Moore and a few others.
